Deactivating Users

When team members leave, deactivate their accounts to revoke access while preserving their work history.

Deactivate rather than delete to maintain project history and audit trails.


Deactivating a User

  1. Go to Settings → Users
  2. Find the user
  3. Click Deactivate
  4. Confirm the action

What Happens

When deactivated:

  • ❌ Cannot log in
  • ❌ Removed from active user list
  • ✅ Work history preserved
  • ✅ Name appears on past activity
  • ✅ Can be reactivated

Reactivating a User

To restore access:

  1. Settings → Users
  2. Toggle Show Deactivated
  3. Find the user
  4. Click Reactivate

Reassigning Work

Before deactivating:

  1. Reassign their tasks
  2. Transfer project ownership
  3. Update client assignments
