CRM Overview

The Shorebird OS CRM (Customer Relationship Management) module is the heart of your client management. It helps you organize, track, and nurture relationships with clients, companies, and contacts.

What's in the CRM?

The CRM module consists of three main components:

👤 Clients

Clients are the individuals or entities you work with directly. Each client record contains:

  • Contact information (name, email, phone)
  • Associated company
  • Project history
  • Activity timeline
  • Notes and communications

🏢 Companies

Companies represent organizations that your clients belong to. Features include:

  • Company details and branding
  • Multiple client associations
  • Company-wide project overview
  • Contact directory

📇 Contacts

Contacts are additional people at a company who aren't primary clients but may be involved in projects or communications:

  • Contact details
  • Role and department
  • Company association

Accessing the CRM

  1. Click CRM in the sidebar
  2. Choose between Clients, Companies, or Contacts

Quick Actions

From any CRM view, you can:

CRM Best Practices

Keep Data Clean

  • ✅ Use consistent naming conventions
  • ✅ Remove duplicate entries regularly
  • ✅ Update contact information when it changes
  • ✅ Archive inactive clients rather than deleting

  • Document important conversations
  • Record client preferences
  • Note key dates (renewals, birthdays, etc.)
  • Track decision-makers and influencers
  • Connect clients to their companies
