Connecting Gmail

Connect your Gmail account to sync emails and send messages from within Shorebird OS.

Prerequisites​

  • Active Google/Gmail account
  • Pop-up blocker disabled for Shorebird OS
  • Admin approval (if using Google Workspace)

Step-by-Step Connection​

1. Navigate to Settings​

Go to Settings → Integrations → Email

2. Click Connect Gmail​

Click the Connect Gmail button.

3. Authorize​

  1. Google sign-in popup appears
  2. Select your Gmail account
  3. Review permissions requested
  4. Click Allow

4. Confirm Connection​

Once authorized, you'll see:

  • Your connected email address
  • Sync status
  • Connection date

Shorebird OS requests these permissions:

Troubleshooting​

Pop-up blocked​

Allow pop-ups for app.shorebirdos.com in your browser.

"Access blocked" message​

Your Google Workspace admin may need to approve Shorebird OS.

Connection fails​

  1. Try again in incognito mode
  2. Clear browser cache
  3. Contact support
